SAC – Student Paper Contest 2017 Finalists


SAC announces the names of this year’s finalists for the Student Paper Contest.

The five Student finalists are:

Lucija Brezočnik,  ‘ Feature selection for classification using particle swarm optimization‘, SB Maribor, Slovenia,

Elly De Pelecijn, ‘ High Speed Time-multiplexed Continuous Time Sigma-Delta Converters‘ SB KU Leuven, Belgium

Mathieu Jadin , Gautier Tihon , ‘Securing MultiPath TCP‘, SB Université  Catholique de Louvain , Belgium,

Tim Thielemans, ‘ A Capacitive Gearbox DC/DC Converter enabling Skyscraper CMOS with Dynamic Voltage Scaling‘, SB KU Leuven, Belgium,

IstvanTaczi, ‘ Enhancing Power System Stability with Synthetic Inertia‘, SB Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE), Hungary

The five students will present their papers to the jury members in a special session at EUROCON2017, Ohrid, Macedonia, on July 7, and the papers will be included in the EUROCON2017 conference proceedings.

The best three papers will also be awarded $800, $500 and $200 for the first, second and third placed papers respectively. Furthermore, the Region 8 Student Activities Fund offers $250 as the “Dick Poortvliet Award” to the branch where the winner comes from.

One must not forget all the other participants for their effort and initiative in sending in a paper.

Soon it will be time to think for SPC2018, so to all students finishing theses at undergraduate or masters: we would like to see your contributions next year. Perhaps your name will be on the corresponding list next year to come to Melecon 2018!!
